Memphis, here we come!!!
Our prayer warriors have been at it again! As you may already know, Memphis has been laid on our hearts for a project and recently we’ve been approached about helping a home school family in Memphi
In light of this, I’m asking you to prayerfully consider your involvement in this project.
What: We’ll put an entire roof on a home in Memphis. The home is one story and is not a “huge” home. The family really, really, really, needs our help and they have no means in which to take care of their roof.
When: We will leave Kingsport on Wednesday July 27th mid-afternoon and return to Kingsport on Sunday, July 31st late afternoon.
Cost: The cost will be $125 per person. This would not even cover the cost of the food and lodging (certainly not supplies), but that’s okay since God always provides. If you can’t afford $125, just let me know. Conversely, if you want to help cover some or all the cost of someone going, that’s okay, too.
Misc: This project will entail ripping of a roof and replacing the decking and re-shingling an entire roof. You do not need experience in roofing, but if you decide to go, you’ll need to be willing to help on the roof.
Is this possible? To no surprise, God tends to multiply our efforts in a huge way. When we go where He leads us, He provides a way. Based on history, we’ll potentially finish early with time to spare.
Who can come: We need folks who are willing and able to help…skill is not as much as an asset as a willing soul. Teens, adults, male & female….all are welcome.
Lodging: We’ll stay in a decent hotel in a nice, safe area of Memphis. If someone has another cheaper and equally safe option, we may consider it.
Food: All meals and snacks are included.
